How to Find Someone in Marion Jail
The Marion Jail is not like most of the city jails in the great state of Arkansas. The Marion Jail now has their offender roster available online for the community to search through.
The offender roster will display all offenders who are currently sitting behind bars within the facility. The roster will give vital information such as his or her name, age, and what they are booked for.
Sending a Mail/Care Package
Since the Marion Jail does not house inmates for longer than a few days, the facility does not accept any incoming mail to the facility. You will be required to wait until the offender gets sent out to the county or state correctional facility prior to you sending them any mail and/or packages.
Sending Money
The Marion Jail provides the offenders in their custody everything they need. You will not need to send an offender who is currently sitting behind bars in the Marion Jail any money. If you do send the offender any money, it will be returned to sender.
It is best to wait until the offender has been transferred out to a county or state correctional facility, before you start funding his or her commissary and bank accounts.
Phone calls
The only privilege that the offenders in the Marion Jail have is that they can use the telephones that are in the common area during normal daylight hours.
The offenders will be permitted to call home. All outgoing calls from the facility are monitored by correctional officers. The calls will also be limited to 15 minutes as well.
You will need to keep in mind that you will be required to accept a collect call from an inmate at the Marion Jail to be permitted to talk to them. If you do not, you will have no communication with the inmate.
Visitation
Inmates in the Marion Jail will not be permitted to have visitors since they are in the facility for a short amount of time. The only visitors an inmate will be permitted to have visits from his or her legal counsel.
