FCI Fort Dix or FCI Fort Dix is nestled in Joint Base Mdl, District of Columbia. The facility is a federally owned correctional facility that is home to offenders of District of Columbia.

The FCI Fort Dix will be closing its doors for the final time on January 31, 2020. The reason for the facility’s closing is because there are no funds to keep the facility running along with making at least $100 million work of repairs to the facility.

All inmates who are in the FCI Fort Dix at the time of the closing will be transferred to a different facility.
