The Youth Diagnostic & Development Center has a strong presence when it comes to making sure offenders are ready for their released date by using some of their best reentry programs that they have to offer.

These re-entry programs will help teach the offenders all the skills they will need to be successful on the outside when it comes to writing a resume, going to job interviews, and just being out on their own.

The Youth Diagnostic & Development Center also provides inmates with academic programs that will allow the offender to earn their GED.

The Youth Diagnostic & Development Center is also known for its adoptable dog program, which will allow the offenders to train and help prepare these abandoned dogs for their adoption day.

The Youth Diagnostic & Development Center also offers various vocational programs including the following:

  • Landscaping

Keep in mind it may take a day or two longer for the inmate to get your letter as it goes through a security check once it reaches the Youth Diagnostic & Development Center.

Sending Money

The Youth Diagnostic & Development Center uses JPay for all the money needs. If you are needing to give inmate money when they are in the Youth Diagnostic & Development Center, you can do so over the internet or by phone. The money will be made available to the inmate instantly.

Phone calls

An inmate in the Youth Diagnostic & Development Center will be allowed to call you during normal daytime hours.

You will only be allowed to talk to them no more than 15-minutes per a day.

Visitation

If this is your first time visiting the Youth Diagnostic & Development Center, you will be required to participate in a visitor orientation. The visitor orientation will happen at 12 pm and 4 pm on the days they allow visitors.

If you have visited before, you will need to schedule your visit no more than a week in advance.

Visiting days are on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Each of these days will have two visiting sessions. The first session is 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm and the second session is 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
