Sending a Mail/Care Package

Yes, an inmate can receive and send you letters. However, an inmate cannot receive greeting cards or photos. Please do not send these items. If you send these items, they will either be disposed of or they will be sent back to you.

Sending Money

The Ontario City Jail will allow you to give the inmate some money when they are in the facility. The money will be used to either pay down the fines that the inmate has racked up through their time in the city jail or the money can be used for the inmate to purchase various items from the jail’s commissary.

All money should be in money order form. Please do not send the money order through the mail. Please drop the money order off at the Ontario City Jail instead.

Phone calls

You will not be permitted to contact an inmate in the Ontario City Jail. The correctional staff will not take messages or allow you to call an inmate.

You will be required to wait for an inmate to call you. Inmates will have the chance to call you by using the telephones that are in the facility.

Your telephone call will be limited to 15-minutes in length. You will not be permitted to use any call features on your phone. If you do, your call may be disconnected by a staff member here at the Ontario City Jail.

Visitation

If you would like to visit an inmate in the Ontario City Jail, you are in luck. The inmates in this correctional facility can receive visitors during four different time slots on the following days:

  • Mondays

  • Wednesdays

  • Fridays

  • Saturdays

  • Sundays

Inmates in the Ontario City Jail will be allowed to have two visitors that come and visit them during each calendar week. All visitors will be required to present their government issued identification card to be permitted into the visitation room.

Visitors may be subjected to a search by the correctional officers.
