How to Find Someone in Coos County Sheriff's Jail
As of 2020, the Coos County Sheriff's Jail does not have an inmate roster that is made out to the public. That ultimately means, if you are looking for an inmate who you suspect to be in the Coos County Sheriff's Jail, you will be required to give them a phone call to learn more about said inmate.
The best number to call is the number we have provided for you on this page.
Sending a Mail/Care Package
Inmates will only be permitted to receive a postcard from you. Inmates will not be permitted to receive handwritten letters inside an envelope. All correspondence must be made through a postcard. All post cards must be standard size and they must not contain glitter or stickers.
Please keep in mind that all postcards that you send to an inmate will always first be read by a correctional officer to ensure that there are no illegal conversations going on through the mail. It is to keep everyone inside and outside of the facility safe.
Sending Money
While the Coos County Sheriff's Jail provides their inmates with three meals a day, inmates will also need to purchase other various things from the commissary. The commissary is just like when we go to the grocery store. All items will cost money.
You can send a money order with the inmate’s information on it to deposit funds into his or her account.
Phone calls
When it comes to an inmate calling you, they will have one of two options here at the Coos County Sheriff's Jail. An inmate will either be able to use the prepaid service from Global Tel Link or they will be able to call you with collect calls.
Majority of the inmates will opt in to use the prepaid service from Global Tel Link since there are no limitations when they are trying to call their loved ones like there is with collect calls.
Visitation
Inmates in the Coos County Sheriff's Jail can have visitors. You will need to call the facility to find out when you will be allowed to come down and visit an inmate. When visiting you will be required to show your photo identification card. If you do not have that on you, you will not be allowed back into the visitation room.
