Sending a Mail/Care Package

One of the few things that an inmate can do while they are in the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Detention Center is to send and receive letters. There is no limit on how many letters an inmate can send.

If an inmate runs out of writing paper, pens, or anything else, they will be required to purchase these things from the commissary. You, the family or friends will not be permitted to send them these items.

Sending Money

In the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Detention Center, you will find a prison canteen or also known as the commissary, In the Commissary, you will be able to purchase items such as the following:

Phone calls

The Williamsburg County Sheriff's Detention Center uses the Global Tel Link or GTL for short. Global Tel Link is a prepaid service in which inmates can opt in to use, so they are not limited in who they can call.

The only other option that inmates have in the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Detention Center is to call collect, but when calling collect inmates will be limited into not being permitted to call people who have a mobile phone.
